An audiobook from Cincinnati’s bestselling romance author, Emily Henry, is getting global attention.
Spotify, the popular music streaming platform, dropped its users’ yearly recaps on Dec. 3, summarizing everyone’s personalized listening history from 2025. This year, Spotify Wrapped includes audiobook listening hours and other data, giving booklovers a new metric to brag about.
The streaming platform also released a list of the top global audiobooks of 2025 and a list of the top audiobooks in the U.S. for this year. “Great Big Beautiful Life” by Emily Henry, a No. 1 New York Times bestselling author who grew up in Northern Kentucky and Liberty Township, cracked the top 10 on both lists.
Henry’s 2025 romance and historical fiction novel ranked No. 10 on the global list and No. 7 on the U.S. charts.
For the first time, Spotify also crowned a top narrator of the year, which was awarded to Julia Whelan. Whelan, dubbed the “voice of the summer” by USA TODAY in June, voiced some of the biggest bestsellers of 2025, including Henry’s “Great Big Beautiful Life.”
